Problem

Goodwood have an established brand and well-known sub-brands, including Festival of Speed. Though they sell out for the event every year, their current site wasn't selling the event experience in an engaging way. The team were keen to see how they could bring the event to life during the announcement and peak sales period, as well as upsell additional packages to a range of audiences.

Solution

We started with a deep dive into the event: what it is, who it's aimed at and what the opportunities were. This allowed us to create an impact map of our goals, actors, impacts and deliverables which resulted in a clear plan to address the structure and content of the site in a more informative and engaging way, by focusing on audience-led pages offering bespoke content to each user group.

Results

We designed a clickable Figma prototype for a number of pages throughout the site, including the homepage, different experience pages as well as e-commerce pages. We put energy and pace at the heart of the site, ensuring the essence of the event was communicated, all of which could be seen in a Principle file which brought to life the movement and interactions in the designs. These designs formed the basis of the overall site, which we continued to work on alongside the internal design team at Goodwood post-Design Sprint.
