Problem
VoCoVo had a customer facing Portal that had no defined designs, design system or UX support. It had grown organically and effectively lost its way which started to create issues with both the product owners and the developers when trying to create anything new. This also negatively impacted the UX of the platform.
Solution
We started with a design sprint to interrogate the problems focusing on the major areas that needed to be improved, and designed a clickable prototype to set as a north star. This gave the team a structured plan to move forward with post-sprint to redesign the UX and UI and document each pattern of the design to create a unique design system for the product.
Results
This process unlocked the existing barriers, giving the product team the tools they needed to quickly communicate what they were looking for, and the developers the tools they needed to quickly build new areas. Effectively, it provided the route to a more efficient way of working for the full VoCoVo team and ultimately, this produced a UX / UI optimised customer dashboard.
